Skin Needling, also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) and Micro-Needling, is considered to be a relatively new concept within the plethora of aesthetic treatment options available for skin rejuvenation, having come about in the format that we now see within the last 5 years. Skin Needling was developed in South Africa by physicians and passed on to tattoo specialists who discovered its possibilities. It's basically dry needling. The use of a Dermal Roller or Rotary Machine (same machine used in Permanent Makeup) with needle clusters of 3 to 7 and a topical in the area of treatment for numbing. The needles are inserted into the epidermis and the top layer of the dermis, causing dermal damage. Skin Needling (dry tattooing) promotes YOUR own natural re-production of the main elements "collagen" and "elastin" , making the skin appear smooth, tight and more youthful in appearance. The texture of the skin and large pores are drastically improved. Tissue adhesion under scars and wrinkles are released allowing collagen and elastin to rise to the surface optimizing the the repair and rapid healing. Skin Needling-Pre-Care & After Care
- The area to be treated must be free of any active acne, cold sore, pimples or infection. (Anti-virals are required for areas around the mouth)
- Make sure to schedule when you have 3-5 days of down time.
- The area to be treated will be cleansed with a medical grade cleanser prior to applying the numbing cream.
- Please arrive to your appointment makeup free.
- The treated area WILL be very red the 1st 24hrs and will gradually lighten with each following day and will feel like a sun burn.
- Itchiness and tenderness will be present during the healing process.
- A&D/Vaseline/Vitamin E or a gentle moisturizer may be used to keep the area moist.
- It is recommended to wash your face several times after the procedure with a gentle cleanser.(3-4 times a day)
- The area MAY begin to shed/sluff after a couple days revealing new pink skin.
- Healing is rapid and the results will be visible in just a few short days and continue to improve over months.

Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are the result of the deeper collagen layers of the skin stretching beyond its normal limits. Skin Needling has been a more effective way to minimize the appearance of the stretch marks, where lasers and other creams have very little positive results...the dermal damage that is performed to the area will allow your own collagen, elastin and your natural melanocytes to begin the repair by improving the blood supply to the treated area. Though the stretch mark will never return to it's normal state..there will be significant improvement and the healing period (repair) will continue up to a year. "I cant believe how my face looks. I had a two tone "age/sun" spot at 43, and I went to my dermatologist, he said that due to it being two tone, he would recommend a fade cream but would not guarantee that it could fade or remove both colors.
