Stretch marks are the result of the deeper collagen layers of the skin stretching beyond its normal limits. Skin Needling has been a more effective way to minimize the appearance of the stretch marks, where lasers and other creams have very little positive results...the dermal damage that is performed to the area will allow your own collagen, elastin and your natural melanocytes to begin the repair by improving the blood supply to the treated area. I had a two tone "age/sun" spot at 43, and I went to my dermatologist, he said that due to it being two tone, he would recommend a fade cream but would not guarantee that it could fade or remove both colors. After Care for Skin Needling
- After the procedure a thin coat of A & D ointment will be applied on the treated area. Keep on the area for the first 24-48 hours while you are at home.
- Wash the area several times a day with a gentle cleanser and re-apply the A & D after each wash.
- The treated area will appear red/dark pink for the first 24-48 hrs. Each day thereafter, the area that was treated will start to darken(appear brownish in color) a little then begin to exfoliate off naturally. Continue to wash with a gentle cleanser.
- After 48-72 hours you can start wearing your makeup and using your anti-aging creams again. Vitamin C, A or E and Collagen producing products will only add to the results and expedite the healing process.
- You will continue to see results for months after just one procedure.
- If subsequent procedures are desired, they can be performed in as little as 4-6 weeks...for optimal results.
