Tattoo Vanish Saline Lightening and Removal Aftercare Instructions - Keep the treated area clean and dry. Any moisture or wetness to the treated area can cause the treated area get infected and/or cause the scab to come off too soon, which may lead to a less than desirable result and/or scarring.
- Nothing else is allowed on the treated area, i.e; makeup, lotions or ointments until the area is completely healed and the scab has come off on its own. It can take 2 weeks or more for the scab to come off.
- If the treated area comes in contact with clothing that causes irritation, you can cover the area with Telfa gauze or dressing, this gauze allows the treated area to breathe.
- DO NOT PICK OR REMOVE THE SCAB PREMATURELY AS THIS CAN CAUSE LESS INK TO BE REMOVED!!!!
- After the scab has exfoliated naturally, the skin may appear pink for up to one year or longer following the removal process. This varies from person to person. In addition, the lymphatic system will continue the lightening process internally and thus changes will be noted for several months after the procedure was done.
- I, as the technician will do my part in the removal process, which is the easy part. You, will have the hard part of making sure the treated area stays 100% DRY during the the healing process...after you walk out my door, the responsibility of the aftercare is 100% yours...do your part and the process should be successful.
- No guarantees are made as to how many treatments will be needed to remove or lighten the tattoo.
Some suggestions to cover the treated area: Have some Saran Wrap handy to cover the area and some paper or plastic tape to secure it while in the shower. If the tattoo is on your hand-latex or vinyl gloves can be worn to protect the area, but make sure to take them off immediatley after you are done, moisture can get trapped in them. Larger Tattoos may need to be removed in sections....it is much harder to maintain a scab on larger areas.
